Rita was born & raised in San Diego, California. Her parents were born in the Middle East and she's first generation in the United States. She's the only child and claims she is not spoiled 😉 Her English/German Step-Father raised her with her Mom since the age of 7 and taught her a lot about serving others through his military service and service as a police officer. She has always had a passion to help others since she was little. Before moving to Las Vegas, NV she decided to follow her Father's footsteps and enlist in the Air Force Reserves. She made her home of residence Las Vegas before she went off to basic training/technical school. She continues to serve this great country through the AF Reserves. She is currently working at the City of Henderson and has been helping people with housing programs for over 14 years. She has obtained several certificates in different leadership courses and licenses as a residential building inspector. She also has 2 Associates Degrees and started obtaining her B.A. in Business Management with a Marketing Minor, but had to put that on hold for her family. She plans to continue her training/education as it relates to Health & Wellness. She has 2 amazing kids with her husband, Dr. James LeFever. Liam and Mila keep them on their toes! They are extremely smart, outgoing kids who are similar to their parents and may follow their footsteps with leading & serving others.
In 2015, Rita started not feeling well and her health started declining
quickly. She was then later diagnosed with Stage III Breast Cancer at the
age of 34. With 2 small children, Rita and Dr. LeFever started their
journey fighting breast cancer. In 2016, she underwent 2 surgeries,
chemotherapy, and radiation along with various holistic/integrative
approaches to getting her health back to an optimal state.
To date, Rita is currently in remission and is thriving! "What doesn't kill you CAN make you stronger." Because of her journey at a young age, she decided to shift her energy/focus into helping Dr. LeFever's practice grow into a more comprehensive/integrative wellness center to help others, especially as it relates to chronic disease such as cancer.
In 2017, she educated herself in energy work and sound therapy. She is currently an Investigating Health Practitioner (IHP) and is helping others through their spiritual, mental, physical, and emotional struggles in life.
Rita's passion and goals are to help educate people to prevent degenerative diseases and through their current health journey. She wants to help her husband grow one of the largest comprehensive integrative wellness centers in Las Vegas!
What health means to Rita: Having the right balance between the spiritual, mental, physical and emotional connections. When one is compromised, it will impair the others state and well-being. Love and time for God, relaxation, body healing, and self love are key components to being balanced and having them all work synergistically.
Through work/life balance, Rita enjoys spending time with her family, loves the lake and jet skiing/boating, networking/socializing, and traveling.
